Gatliff Marathon

The Gatliff Marathon on 17 October 2026 is an annual challenge run/walk of 25km or 50km in the Kent and Surrey countryside.

The course is mostly on public footpaths and you may have to climb over stiles, cross fields with livestock, and encounter muddy, slippery conditions underfoot.

The event is not led and the route is not be marked. Written route instructions, with grid references, are provided on the day of the event.

A torch is essential for all participants doing the 50km. The challenge is to complete the event in under 10 hours, following the route directions and checking in at each of the checkpoints.
