Chester Half Marathon

The Essar Chester Half Marathon on 17 May 2026 is one of the UK’s longest established and most highly regarded half marathons.

The event boasts a lively city centre start and finish, with a flat route that takes in all the city centre sights and surrounding picturesque countryside. It is held entirely on closed roads.

Race day will also include a 1 mile Fun Run and is part of the Triple Chester Series which also includes the Chester 10K, Chester Metric Marathon and Chester Marathon.
